Stargate Universe is coming!

Stargate Universe will debut as a two-hour movie event on SCI FI. Brad Wright and Robert Cooper, of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, will serve as executive producers and writers on the new series. SG-U will have a new look and feel than the SG-1 and Atlantis series we have all become so used to.
A group of soldiers, scientists and civilians are forced through a stargate when their hidden base comes under attack. There has been no speculation on who is attacking them. The most logical assumption is that this will take place sometime befor the close of the Ori War. Anyway the survivors exit the stargate aboard an ancient ship, The Destiny, which is locked on an unknown course and unable to return to Earth. Faced with meeting the most basic needs of food, water and air, the group must unlock the secrets of the ship's stargate to survive. The danger, adventure and hope they find on board Destiny will reveal the heroes and villains among them.
With everyone promising SG-U to be a new and grittier version of gate travel, I have to ask. Is SG-U the new Battlestar Galactica or is it destined to be a flop?

BSG is over. What now?

Now that Battlestar Galactica's final episode "Daybreak pt.1&2" are a few months behinds us, I find myself wondering what to do on a Friday night! I do have to say that Ron & David did a great job at answering a lot of the big questions that were hanging out there like:

  • Who is the final Cylon?
  • What's the connection between the Final Five and Earth?
  • How were the Final Five created?
  • What's the relationship between them and the Significant Seven?
  • Why don't the Final Five originally know their identities?
  • Why don't the Significant Seven discuss the Final Five?
  • Why do the Cylons destroy human civilization?

There were some questions that I feel did not get enough attention:
  • What about the #7 Cylon, Daniel?
  • Exactly what is Starbuck?
  • What are the angelic/virtual/head beings (Six & Baltar)?
  • What's the deal with Hera, Athena, & Roslin in the Opera House?
  • What's manipulating the destiny of the two races?
